Clinic Policy on Illness, Cold Symptoms, and Mask Usage

Purpose
To protect the health and safety of our patients, staff, and visitors, we have established the
following guidelines regarding appointments when experiencing cold symptoms, flu, fever, or
COVID-19.

1. If You Are Feeling Unwell
If you are experiencing symptoms of a cold, flu, fever, or COVID-19 (such as cough, sore throat,
body aches, congestion, fatigue, or loss of taste/smell), please reschedule your appointment.
For the safety of others, do not come to the clinic if you are sick.

2. COVID-19 Symptoms or Exposure
If you have symptoms of COVID-19 or have been in close contact with someone who has tested
positive, we ask that you do not come to the clinic. Please reschedule your appointment and
seek appropriate testing or medical advice.

3. Flu and Fever
If you have a fever or other flu-like symptoms, please stay home until you are symptom-free for
at least 24 hours without the aid of fever-reducing medications. This helps prevent the spread of
illness to other patients and staff.

4. Mask Policy
If you must come into the clinic with cold symptoms (even mild), or have recently been
ill, please wear a mask during your visit. Additionally, your therapist will also wear a
mask
during your session if they are feeling unwell or if you have symptoms of illness. We
appreciate your cooperation in helping us maintain a safe environment for everyone.

5. Rescheduling Appointments
We understand that illness can be unexpected, and we are happy to help you reschedule your
appointment as needed. However, we kindly ask that you notify our office at least 4 hours in
advance
if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment due to illness. If this notice is not
given, a cancellation fee will apply.

6. Health & Safety Measures
For the well-being of all patients and staff, we continue to follow health and safety guidelines,
including proper sanitization, social distancing when possible, and mask usage in high-risk areas.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in helping to prevent the spread of illness. If
you have any questions or need assistance rescheduling, please contact our office.
